Given how this season has played out, it\u2019s easy to forget the quality that West Ham United boast in their ranks. <\/p>\n

Really, the fact that West Ham United<\/a> are struggling towards the bottom of the Premier League table<\/a> speaks to the mismanagement of the club at executive level, rather than the playing squad itself. <\/p>\n

Is the squad absolutely perfect? No. Have the players always covered themselves in glory? Clearly not. <\/p>\n

However, there are some brilliant players in the squad \u2013 ones that have previously done very well for the club. <\/p>\n

One of those, of course, is Jarrod Bowen<\/a>. The winger scored once again on Saturday as West Ham beat Sunderland<\/a> at the London Stadium. <\/p>\n

The England international continues to step up for the Irons and pundit Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink believes he still doesn\u2019t get the credit he deserves. <\/p>\n

The Dutchman worked alongside Bowen during England\u2019s run to the Euro 2024 final, so knows all about the 29-year-old. <\/p>\n

Bowen\u2019s penalty against the Black Cats was his seventh goal of the season and there\u2019s every reason to believe he will add to that tally rather significantly before the end of the campaign. <\/p>\n

Speaking on Sky Sports<\/a>, Hasselbaink was full of praise for the former Hull forward.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cHe goes about his business really, really well. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou never hear him moaning, you never hear him in a bad way. I don\u2019t think he gets enough credit for what he does. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe always turns\u00a0up,\u00a0he always does\u00a0the business.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

How many points would West Ham have taken from their last two games if Lucas Paqueta had been playing? \ud83e\udd14 <\/p>\n

Maybe I\u2019m harsh, but I just don\u2019t think he suits this team anymore\u2026<\/p>\n

Jarrod Bowen is underrated at West Ham, it\u2019s so obvious <\/p>\n

Bowen is\u00a0arguably West\u00a0Ham\u2019s best\u00a0player<\/a>,\u00a0but he does not get enough credit from those outside the Hammers bubble.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This season alone, he\u2019s outscored the likes of Mohamed Salah, Bukayo Saka, Pedro Neto, Anthony Gordon, Cole Palmer and Jack Grealish. <\/p>\n

Bowen is a game\u00a0changer\u00a0but\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0still not mentioned in the same kind of bracket as some of those players above.\u00a0<\/p>\n

That\u2019s presumably because he\u2019s playing for a West Ham side who have struggled in recent seasons. His brilliance, however, has become what is simply expected of him. <\/p>\n

Bowen continues to be a leading light for the Irons and it\u2019s about time more respect was put on his name. <\/p>\n
