On Garc\u00eda Pierna, a very similar type of rider, Romeo has high gopes of: \u201cRa\u00fal is at an incredible level, and he\u2019s improving a lot towards a rider profile that I\u2019m not sure many people expect, but I think Ra\u00fal can be a surprise this year. The way he evolved at the end of last season was outrageous.\u201d<\/p>\n
Romeo acknowledges his role has grown and he\u2019s happy to take responsibility: \u201cIt\u2019s clear I have more responsibility and more importance in the team each year. It\u2019s something I like, it\u2019s what I want\u2026 I feel comfortable, happy with how I\u2019m responding within the team, and anything that comes from performing well I\u2019ll welcome with open arms.\u201d<\/p>\n
As for his 2026 targets, Romeo is clear: \u201cGetting better every year is my way of life, trying to be a little better every day\u2026 we\u2019ll need to consolidate that through the season and results-wise it\u2019s the same: improve on last year, try to take more wins than last year, wins with more weight. I also want to settle a score with the Tour, try to win a stage \u2014 that would be the biggest goal of the year\u2026 I hope to do it at a higher level to take more victories.\u201d<\/p>\n

Iv\u00e1n Romeo\u2019s race programmeThe Spaniard has already been active at the Classica Camp de Morvedre, his season debut, where he finished fourth on the day.
