Evidence shows this would improve patient care and safety, support staff wellbeing, reduce healthcare costs and improve staff retention.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The trust had undertaken eight months of consultation with affected staff and trade unions, and those discussions were continuing, the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;The GMB has not notified the trust, as it is required to do, of its intention to undertake a ballot for industrial action,&#8221; they added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Staff wellbeing is a priority for the trust.
