Nicolo Savona is set to have a knee injury assessed today, with Nottingham Forest<\/a> head coach Sean Dyche uncertain how long the defender could be sidelined for.<\/p>\n The full-back is \u201cunlikely\u201d to be involved in Thursday night\u2019s Europa League clash with Ferencvaros at the City Ground<\/a> (8pm kick-off). He was an unused substitute in Sunday\u2019s 2-0 win away to Brentford but did not take part in training with his teammates this morning (Wednesday) ahead of the midweek game.<\/p>\n The Reds are already without long-term absentee Chris Wood. Meanwhile, goalkeeper John Victor is expected to miss the rest of the season<\/a> following surgery after he sustained a knee injury against Aston Villa earlier this month.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s going to be out for a while,\u201d Dyche<\/a> said of Victor in his pre-match press conference. \u201cIt\u2019s an unfortunate one.<\/p>\n Forest – JOIN US ON FACEBOOK! He has not played since October but is said to be making a gradual recovery.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is just steady progress,\u201d Dyche said of the New Zealand international. \u201cThe repair on the knee has gone well and it is just steady progress now. It is week by week and making sure it is going in the right direction, which it certainly is so far.\u201d<\/p>\n Igor Jesus has led the line for the Reds in Wood\u2019s absence, but will now have some competition following the signing of Lorenzo Lucca on loan from Napoli last week. Forest want to add another forward<\/a> before the window closes next Monday but Dyche insists that is not connected to Wood\u2019s situation.<\/p>\n \u201cNo, it\u2019s nothing to do with his injury,\u201d he said. \u201cWe are just focusing on his injury, that\u2019s all. He is a very good player. He has made that clear to everyone here, for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n
