\n\tEXCLUSIVE: Working Title<\/a> Films has optioned rights to Kirsten King\u2019s debut novel A Good Person<\/a>, with Daisy Edgar-Jones<\/a> attached to produce the movie adaptation. King is adapting the script, with Working Title\u2019s Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner producing alongside Edgar-Jones.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe were immediately drawn to Kirsten\u2019s novel for its wit, dark humor and subversive spirit, and we look forward to bringing its unlikely heroine, Lillian, to life on screen,\u201d says Fellner, co-chair of Working Title. \u201cHaving just worked with Daisy as a leading actor in Sense and Sensibility, now partnering with her as a producer marks an exciting new chapter in our creative relationship, and we can\u2019t wait to see this film fully realized.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe novel follows Lillian, a vengeful and jilted lover who gets more than she bargained for after she performs a drunken hex on her ex-situationship who actually ends up dead.\u00a0The novel will be published on March 31.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m so thrilled to be partnering with Daisy and the Working Title team on this adaptation,\u201d said King. \u201cFrom early creative conversations it was abundantly clear that my deeply flawed main character was in good hands.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWorking Title Films is developing the project, with\u00a0Elinor Kahn, Director of Development LA, running point.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tKing\u2019s credits as a screenwriter include Crush for Hulu, as well as the animated comedy The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy for Prime Video.\u00a0King is repped by UTA, 3Arts and Nicola Barr at Rye Literary for books.<\/p>\n

\n\tEdgar-Jones\u00a0is represented by UTA, B-Side and Sloane, Offer, Weber, Dern.<\/p>\n

\n\tWorking Title Films, co-chaired by Bevan and Fellner, has created more than 130 films that have grossed over $9 billion at the global box office, winning 15 Oscars.
