Wolf Alice<\/a> have been confirmed as performing at the 2026 BRIT Awards<\/a>, taking place next month.<\/p>\n

The ceremony this year will be held at the Co-op Live on Saturday February 28, marking the first time that the event has taken place in Manchester<\/a> in its nearly 50 year history.<\/p>\n

Olivia Dean<\/a> \u2013 who is up for multiple awards on the night \u2013 was confirmed earlier this month as the first performer, and yesterday (Wednesday January 28) Harry Styles was also announced<\/a>. For the soloist and former One Direction<\/a> star, the slot comes three years after he last performed on the BRITs stage, and on the heels of him announcing new album \u2018Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally<\/a>\u2019 with the lead single \u2018Aperture\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now, organisers have confirmed that Wolf Alice will also be performing on the night. The London band are nominated for three awards this year: Group of the Year, Alternative\/Rock Act and Mastercard Album of the Year for their chart-topping fourth album \u2018The Clearing<\/a>\u2019.<\/p>\n

The slot also comes following them performing an unforgettable set at Glastonbury<\/a> last summer, and announcing a huge outdoor show at London\u2019s Finsbury Park<\/a>, where they will be joined by The Last Dinner Party<\/a>, Lykke Li<\/a>, Rachel Chinouriri<\/a>, Keo, and Florence Road<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Also at the 2026 BRITs, Jack Whitehall is returning to host for the sixth time<\/a>, and this year\u2019s trophy, designed by Matthew Williamson<\/a>, was unveiled.<\/p>\n

Scottish art-folk artist Jacob Alon has been confirmed as the winner of the 2026 BRITs Critics\u2019 Choice Award<\/a>, and those with the most nominations this year include Olivia Dean, former NME Cover star<\/a> Lola Young<\/a>, Sam Fender<\/a>, Lily Allen<\/a> and Lewisham rapper Jim Legxacy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

ITV remains the official BRIT Awards broadcaster for the 34th year. The ceremony will air exclusively on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player. Live performances on the night will also be available to watch on YouTube.<\/p>\n

As well as their upcoming Finsbury Park gig, Wolf Alice are also set to play the \u2018Trans Mission\u2019 charity show<\/a> at London\u2019s OVO Arena Wembley in March, and headline this year\u2019s Teenage Cancer Trust series at the Royal Albert Hall<\/a> that same month. Other upcoming live dates include headline slots at Tramlines Festival<\/a>, Kendal Calling<\/a> and Eden Sessions<\/a>, as well as appearances at TRNSMT<\/a>, Mad Cool<\/a>, NOS Alive<\/a> and more.<\/p>\n

\u2018The Clearing\u2019 was given a glowing five-star review<\/a> when it was released last year, and it went on to secure the Number 11 spot on NME\u2018s 50 best albums of 2025 list<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The single \u2018Bloom Baby Bloom\u2019<\/a>, meanwhile, made its way to Number 12 on our 50 best songs of the year rundown<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Since the record dropped, frontwoman Ellie Rowsell has contributed to the star-studded new \u2018Help(2)\u2019 charity album for War Child<\/a>, and is also credited as providing backing vocals for the aforementioned Harry Styles\u2019 comeback single, \u2018Aperture\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The nominations at the 2026 BRIT Awards follow on from Wolf alice winning in the Group Of The Year category in 2022, and being nominated for Best Rock\/Alternative Act that same year, and shortlisted for British Breakthrough Act in 2016.<\/p>\n

The band spoke to NME in December<\/a>, and opened up about what it was like to now have graduated to arena status.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve grown at the right pace. We\u2019ve done things when we\u2019ve felt comfortable doing them,\u201d Ellis said. \u201cWe\u2019ve backed ourselves creatively and only when we feel like we could achieve and give the show that we want to give.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rowsell agreed: \u201cNo matter how big or small the stage is, it feels like you\u2019re part of a real show \u2013 almost like a play. I wanted the songs to have that element of performance in the songwriting itself and the recording, rather than figuring it out afterwards or seeing how it takes shape.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople are like, \u2018This is your most chilled out album\u2019, and maybe it is, but when we perform, I\u2019m like, \u2018No, this feels so different\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
