\n\tSony<\/a>\u2018s four-movie Beatles biopic project<\/a> is starting to come together.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a unique marketing strategy, the studio printed four different postcards \u2014 each showing one of the core stars in the first looks at the characters \u2014 that were dispersed throughout the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts for students to find. Director Sam Mendes<\/a>\u2018 The Beatles<\/a> \u2013 A Four-Film Cinematic Event hits theaters in April 2028 and star Harris Dickinson<\/a> as John Lennon<\/a>, Paul Mescal<\/a> as Paul McCartney<\/a>, Joseph Quinn<\/a> as George Harrison<\/a>, and Barry Keoghan<\/a> as Ringo Starr<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe\u2019ve been given exclusive postcards promoting the new Beatles movies!\u201d LIPA\u2019s official Instagram account posted<\/a> Thursday, with the studio paying homage to the iconic music<\/a> group\u2019s hometown in England. \u201cWe\u2019ve hidden them around LIPA, and we want students to find them.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tProduction has begun on the four films that will each focus on a different band member. Rounding out the cast are Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney, James Norton as Brian Epstein, Anna Sawai as Yoko Ono, Aimee Lou Wood as Pattie Boyd, Harry Lloyd as George Martin, and Mia McKenna-Bruce as Maureen Starkey.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe movies officially announced the four leads<\/a> at last year\u2019s CinemaCon, where Mendes took the stage with the stars. \u201cWe\u2019re not just making one film about the\u00a0Beatles\u00a0\u2014 we\u2019re making four,\u201d the filmmaker told the crowd. \u201cPerhaps this is a chance to understand them a little more deeply.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tProducing the films for Neal Street Productions are Mendes, Pippa Harris and Julie Pastor. Tony Award winner Jez Butterworth (Ford v Ferrari), Oscar winner Peter Straughan (Conclave) and BAFTA and Tony Award winner Jack Thorne (Adolescence) wrote the screenplays.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Beatles are the biggest-selling music act of all time, per the RIAA. The films arrive as Hollywood has continued to embrace music biopics, with Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere hitting theaters last year from 20th Century, while Lionsgate is set to release its Michael Jackson film in April<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYou have to match the boldness of the idea with a bold release strategy,\u201d Sony film boss Tom Rothman\u00a0told\u00a0The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>\u00a0about the Beatles project that earned the Oscar-winning director a coveted signoff from the group\u2019s selective label Apple Corps. \u201cThere hasn\u2019t been an enterprise like this before, and you can\u2019t think about it in traditional releasing terms.\u201d<\/p>\n
