Daniel Dubois<\/a> has revealed the real reason behind his return to trainer Don Charles.<\/p>\n

Dubois and Charles have reunited just a few months after the pair split following the defeat to Oleksandr Usyk at Wembley Stadium in July 2024.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2018DDD\u2019 had linked up with trainer Tony Sims late last year, but they have parted ways without ever having a fight together, and the former IBF heavyweight champion has explained to Talksport<\/a> why he has made the decision to partner with Charles again.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had a family meeting and just thought because we\u2019ve had the most success with Don, we decided to do that U-turn.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like he knows me. He knows me as a fighter and as a person. So it just makes sense to go back. And we\u2019ve had our little break. Now I\u2019m ready to get back to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dubois was then asked why he chose to split with Charles in the first place.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone needed to go away and think about things really. It wasn\u2019t even a deep thought. I think we just [had] a quick rash decision.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs the person I am and the character I am, Don is going to be right for me. He\u2019s the right guy and I\u2019m glad we\u2019ve made that decision now. It\u2019s time to move forward with it. He will help me, I will help myself and get back to the glory days. That\u2019s what I really want to do.\u201d<\/p>\n
