But at the end of the day, the cherry on top of the cake is being out playing tournaments and testing yourself.

“When you’re a competitive sportsman, and you have been for 35 years, you’ve got to really embrace the nerves and that taste in your mouth when you get under pressure and try and perform under pressure and hopefully do well and come out the other side with a positive outcome.”

Westwood’s former Majesticks GC co-captain Henrik Stenson was relegated from the league last year and has decided to renew his DP World Tour membership for the 2026 season.

And while Westwood says he’ll have “plenty of options” of his own in life beyond LIV, he says his main focus right now is improving his results on the league. He will also continue venturing into senior golf and plans to play the US Senior Open at Scioto Country Club in Ohio in July.

Who is Lee Westwood’s caddie?

Lee Westwood and his old caddie Billy Foster reunited in 2025.

The English pair worked together from 2009 to 2018 in a spell that saw Westwood become the world’s No.1 golfer. Foster was also by his side for three of his 11 Ryder Cup appearances.

When Matt Fitzpatrick decided he needed a fresh face on his bag at the start of the ’25 season, Foster decided to go part-time. He caddied for Collin Morikawa at the Genesis Scottish Open and The Open – a fortnight that yielded two missed cuts for the American – and then enjoyed a three-week stint alongside Westwood for LIV Golf’s final regular season events in Chicago and Indianapolis as well as the Team Championship.

The Majesticks co-captain narrowly avoided relegation with Foster on the bag, aided by a tie for 17th in Indianapolis.

And Westwood confirmed to TG that his relationship with Foster will continue into the 2026 season.

“He’s going to do most of them,” Westwood said, discussing the 14 events. “At the start of the season it’s predominantly all Billy.”

Westwood said that his wife Helen Storey, who has caddied for him for several years, may fill in for a couple of events, too. The pair married in Las Vegas in 2021.

Storey was on the bag as Westwood finished T34 at last year’s Open Championship at Royal Portrush, his first major start in three years.

Billy Foster isn’t done yet. He’s about to spend his 44th year as a caddie out on tour.

He’ll be will be back working with Lee Westwood for the majority of his LIV starts this year after they reunited last season. pic.twitter.com/C8md1gzTbd

— Ben Parsons (@_benparsons) January 28, 2026

[39
5904,101,56,54,55
0":"post-400065","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-golf","8":"tag-golf","9":"tag-sports","10":"tag-uk","11":"tag-united-kingdom","12":"tag-unitedkingdom
["GET
