A second man has been arrested on suspicion of murder as inquiries continue into the death of a man in Chesterfield.<\/a><\/p>\n

The incident occurred shortly before 1pm on Tuesday, January 20 at a house in Southgate Way, Barrow Hill, after reports a man had been assaulted.<\/p>\n

Jason Smith, of Southgate Way,<\/a> was found at the address and was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and died on Thursday, January 22.<\/a><\/p>\n

A 20-year-old man from Sheffield was arrested on suspicion of his murder <\/a>and released on police bail. On Thursday, January 29, a second man was arrested on suspicion of Mr Smith\u2019s murder in Sheffield.<\/p>\n

The 46-year-old man, of no-fixed abode, was recalled to prison on a separate matter \u2013 and has been released on bail following his arrest on suspicion of murder.<\/p>\n
