Beyonc\u00e9’s potential new neighbours are barking mad about her plans to build a huge country mansion.<\/p>\n
The singer and her rapper husband Jay-Z<\/a> are in said to be in the final stages of buying 58 acres of Cotswolds farmland. It has planning permission for a \u201cspectacular\u201d seven-bedroom home.<\/p>\n But if plans go ahead, fields and a lake much loved by local pooch owners will be firmly out of bounds. One villager, who walks the route daily with her labrador, lurcher and greyhound, said: \u201cGoing through Beyonc\u00e9<\/a>\u2019s fields is easier because it\u2019s not such a steep hill, especially as I have three dogs<\/a>. Everyone who lives here loves it, so we can understand why a celebrity like Beyonc\u00e9 would want to put down roots here. But it would massively increase the number of cars so we could end up like other villages where residents have to put bollards outside their homes to stop people parking because it\u2019s so busy.\u201d<\/p>\n Plans describe the proposed home as a ‘spectacular rural estate'(Image: Hughes Planning \/ SWNS)<\/p>\n The Crazy in Love singer, 44, first sparked rumours of a move to Britain when she and Jay-Z, 56, were spotted visiting Oxfordshire in June last year. The land, in the tiny village of Wigginton, was later sold off-market so it is unclear exactly how much the pair paid.<\/p>\n Architectural plans obtained exclusively by the Mirror<\/a> describe the home as a \u201cspectacular rural estate\u201d offering \u201cseamless indoor-outdoor living, combining timeless materials with contemporary architecture.” The document continues: \u201cDesigned to integrate with the natural landscape, the property offers a striking architectural statement, blending contemporary style with sustainable practices.\u201d<\/p>\n The village of Wigginton is untouched(Image: Tom Wren \/ SWNS)<\/p>\n It sits just five minutes from the chocolate box village of Great Tew, close to home for celebrities such as the Beckhams, Simon Cowell<\/a> and Ellen DeGeneres.
