Cori Broadus, daughter of Snoop Dogg<\/a>, has shared the devastating news that her baby, Codi Dreaux, has passed away.<\/p>\n

The 26 year old turned to Instagram<\/a> to reveal the heartbreaking update, posting a monochrome photograph of herself with her late child. Overlaying the image, she wrote, “Monday, I lost the love of my life. My Codi.”<\/p>\n

Cori’s partner also honoured their daughter’s memory on Instagram. He shared, “I’ve been the saddest since u left me, Codi Dreaux. But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you. My baby.”<\/p>\n

Snoop Dogg has not yet publicly addressed the devastating family loss. Cori had previously been candid about complications during her pregnancy<\/a>, revealing her daughter arrived three months prematurely reports the Mirror US<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In an Instagram post from February last year, she explained, “The princess arrived at 6 months. Baby girl came at 25 weeks today, and she’s perfect as ever.” She also disclosed in her story that she underwent an emergency caesarean section after developing HELLP syndrome, a severe pregnancy complication.<\/p>\n

After her premature arrival, Codi remained in the NICU for 10 months whilst medical staff worked tirelessly to stabilise her health. There appeared to be positive progress earlier this month when Codi was finally allowed home from hospital.<\/p>\n

The Mayo Clinic<\/a> states that babies born before 28 weeks’ gestation are classified as extremely preterm and may face numerous health challenges, including respiratory difficulties, feeding complications, and struggles maintaining body temperature. Six months following Codi’s arrival, Cori opened up about the challenges of being a NICU mum, portraying her daughter as tough and spirited despite her delicate condition.<\/p>\n

She told US Weekly<\/a>: “That girl is so feisty. She’s so resilient and strong. She just has so much character… Yeah, the circumstances are not what you thought they would be, but it could be worse.”<\/p>\n

Snoop’s only daughter, Cori, has faced her own medical challenges in recent years, experiencing a “severe stroke” in 2024.<\/p>\n

Speaking to US Weekly, Cori admitted, “What really got me close with God is after I had my stroke. I told him, ‘God, if you get me out of here, I’m gonna tell the world<\/a> about y’all and tell the world you’re real.’ And He did exactly that. And He gets me through.”<\/p>\n

She was also diagnosed with lupus at just six years old.<\/p>\n

Lupus is an autoimmune condition where the body’s defence system incorrectly attacks healthy tissue, instead of fighting off dangerous bacteria and viruses. It triggers inflammation which can impact the joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart, and lungs.<\/p>\n

There is presently no cure for the condition. because lupus impacts numerous organs throughout the body, it can heighten the likelihood of suffering a stroke.<\/p>\n
