<\/p>\nPatrick Reed and Sergio Garcia are four shots adrift of leader Calum Hill ahead of the final round of the Bahrain Championship.<\/p>\n
American Reed is chasing back-to-back DP World Tour victories after winning last week’s Dubai Desert Classic, while Spaniard Garcia is eyeing a first triumph on the European circuit since September 2019, when he picked up the KLM Open title.<\/p>\n
Reed and Garcia, both former Masters champions, sit at 12 under par with 18 holes left after shooting a six-under 66 and four under 68 respectively The Royal Golf Club on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Enable Cookies<\/a> Reed – who this week announced he was quitting LIV Golf and returning to the PGA Tour<\/a> – carded the joint best round of the day, alongside Sweden’s Mikael Lindberg, as he peeled off five birdies and an eagle, with his one bogey coming at 16.<\/p>\n Garcia’s only blunder was at 16, too, with the veteran – who remains part of LIV Golf for the 2026 campaign – notching five birdies, including three on the trot from nine to 11, to join Reed and Scotland’s Grant Forrest in a share of third spot.<\/p>\n Forrest’s compatriot Hill remains out in front, though, after following a second-round, 11-under 61 with an even-par 72 but has seen his lead cut from four strokes to two with Germany’s Freddy Schott recording a two-under 70.<\/p>\n Image: Hill happy despite early-round errors<\/p>\n Hill is a two-time champion on the DP World Tour, most recently at the Joburg Open in March 2025 after picking up his maiden title at the Cazoo Classic in August 2021.<\/p>\n The 31-year-old suffered three bogeys across his first six holes in round three, including three-putting the second, and lost his lead as Schott went out in 32 after four gains on a flawless front nine.<\/p>\n Hill claimed successive birdies at 14 and 15 during a blemish-free second half of his round and retook the lead as Schott faltered with three bogeys and a solitary birdie coming home – Schott’s final misstep was at the 18th and he is now at 14 under.<\/p>\n Leader Hill said: “I just had a few errors in there and misjudged a couple of putts early on that put me behind a little bit.<\/p>\n “I managed to come back a little bit on the back nine and put myself in a good position.
