The global music icon is in mourning after his daughter announced the death of her baby<\/p>\n

Swansea City co-owner Snoop Dogg is reportedly mourning a devastating family loss after his daughter Cori Broadus announced the death of her premature baby daughter, Codi Dreaux.<\/p>\n

Cori, 26, revealed on social media that her 11-month-old daughter died on Monday, just 20 days after being discharged from hospital following a lengthy stay in neonatal intensive care. Posting a black-and-white photo of herself holding her daughter, Cori wrote: \u201cMonday, I lost the love of my life. My Codi.\u201d<\/p>\n

She later reshared a post from earlier this month celebrating Codi\u2019s return home, adding: \u201c20 days later?! dawg im sick.\u201d<\/p>\n

Codi was born three months prematurely in late February 2025, the first child Cori welcomed with her fianc\u00e9, photographer Wayne Duece. The baby spent months in the NICU before being allowed home at the beginning of January.<\/p>\n

At the time, Cori had shared her joy online, writing: \u201cShe\u2019s home,\u201d and thanking supporters for their prayers, adding: \u201cGod heard them all.\u201d<\/p>\n

Duece also paid tribute to his daughter, posting a photo of himself cradling Codi. He wrote: \u201cI been the saddest since u left me Codi Dreaux. But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you. #LongLiveCodiDreaux.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cori also reposted a message from one of Codi\u2019s nurses, who described the loss as the \u201cbiggest down\u201d of her career and said she had given the baby \u201cone last bath\u201d and told her she loved her.<\/p>\n

Cori is the youngest of three children shared by Snoop Dogg \u2014 real name Calvin Broadus \u2014 and his wife Shante Broadus, to whom he has been married for 28 years.<\/p>\n

The pregnancy had been high risk. Codi was born at 25 weeks after Cori developed HELLP syndrome, a severe variant of preeclampsia. Cori, who has lived with lupus since childhood and suffered a stroke at the start of 2024, had previously spoken about the emotional toll of the pregnancy.<\/p>\n

When announcing Codi\u2019s early arrival last year, she admitted she had \u201ccried and cried\u201d and \u201ccompared and compared,\u201d blaming herself for not being able to carry her daughter to full term. She described her baby as \u201cperfect as ever\u201d despite the circumstances.<\/p>\n

In September, while Codi was still in hospital, Cori told US media her daughter was \u201cso resilient and strong\u201d and a \u201csweet little firecracker,\u201d with doctors praising how alert and responsive she was.<\/p>\n

The tragedy comes just months after Snoop Dogg became a minority co-owner of Swansea<\/a> City in a high-profile move that made global headlines.<\/p>\n

Speaking exclusively to WalesOnline<\/a> in his first interview since investing in the Swans, the 54-year-old said he wanted to help turn the Championship club into a \u201cglobal name\u201d and eventually propel them back to the Premier League<\/a>.<\/p>\n
