Police are now hunting a group of men on electric bikes who are believed to have been involved in a shooting in Mount View, Sutton Coldfield, which has left a man in his 20s fighting for his life <\/p>\n
An appeal to find a group of men wanted in connection with a shooting incident in Sutton Coldfield<\/a> which has left a man fighting for his life, has been launched by police.<\/p>\n A man in his 20s was shot in a property in Mount View off Reddicap Hill in Sutton Coldfield shortly before midnight on Saturday (January 31).<\/p>\n He was left with \u2018serious gunshot wounds\u2019 and was left fighting for his life in a \u2018critical condition\u2019. A woman was also injured in the incident.<\/p>\n Read more: Shooting horror in Sutton Coldfield as man suffers wounds in ‘targeted attack’<\/a><\/p>\n A West Midlands Ambulance Service<\/a> spokeswoman said: “We were called to reports of a shooting on Mount View, Sutton Coldfield, at 11.24pm on Saturday 31 January.<\/p>\n “An ambulance, two paramedic officers and a trauma team responded.<\/p>\n \u201cOn arrival, they found a man who had sustained serious injuries.<\/p>\n \u201cHe received advanced trauma care from the team before being conveyed under blue light conditions to hospital for further emergency care.”<\/p>\n Police at the scene of the shooting in Mount View<\/p>\n West Midlands Police<\/a> said this was a \u2018targeted attack\u2019 and it has now said officers want to identify and find a group of men suspected of being involved in the shooting.<\/p>\n They are said to have fled the scene on electric bikes after the incident took place.<\/p>\n Police are asking for information and footage from the area and the force has set up a Major Incident Public Portal<\/a>, where images and video can be uploaded to help detectives with their investigations.<\/p>\n Read more: Shocked community says ‘everywhere nowadays’ as man shot in quiet cul-de-sac<\/a><\/p>\n A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: \u201cWe’re appealing for footage and information after a man was seriously injured following a shooting in Sutton Coldfield at the weekend.<\/p>\n \u201cA man in his 20s remains in a critical condition in hospital after being shot in Mount View shortly before 11.30pm on Saturday (January 31).<\/p>\n \u201cA woman also sustained minor injuries after a number of gun shots were fired.<\/p>\n \u201cWe’re continuing to investigate the circumstances but following enquiries, we understand a group of men, who are suspected of being involved, fled on electric bikes.<\/p>\n \u201cWe’re keen to hear from anyone with information and have set up a Major Incident Public Portal (MIPP) where any images, still or moving, can be submitted<\/a> to us.<\/p>\n![\"Police](\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/0_WhatsApp-Image-2026-02-01-at-150703.jpg\")
