The Doncaster singer, 28, won Best Rock Performance award for his rendition of Changes at Villa Park, during husband Ozzy\u2019s final Back to the Beginning show. And he credits Sharon and his late idol Ozzy for helping him break through into the mainstream.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">He said: \u201cIt\u2019s beautiful how supportive they\u2019ve been of me and supportive they\u2019ve been over young artists, especially in rock music, over the past 30, 40 years.\u201d The star picked up the gong from Sharon on stage. The pair had earlier lit a candle for Ozzy the night before the Los Angeles ceremony. And Yungblud &#8211; whose real name is Dominic Harrison &#8211; said the win marked two fingers up to BRITs bosses who have snubbed him at next month\u2019s ceremony in Manchester. He said: \u201cI think since the start of my career, I\u2019ve had a lot of people saying no at home. When it [the nominations] got announced, we were in India. So we were f***ing a bit busy! To be honest, I don\u2019t really think about it that much. He said: \u201cTo grow up loving an idol who helps you figure out your identity not only as a musician but also as a man is something that I\u2019m truly grateful for. For then to get to know them and form a relationship with them and honor them at their final show and then receive this, the cost of it is something I and all of us are finding so strange to comprehend. We f***ing love you, Ozzy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Speaking to the <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">Mirror<\/a>, Yungblud said that Ozzy and Sharon were incredibly supportive of up and coming artists, through their annual music festival Ozzfest. He added: \u201cOzzfest and everything they did was a lot of the reason why a lot of young bands got a break and got a start. So it\u2019s amazing that they always continually, generationally support the youth. I love that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Ozzy was also remembered at the show with a tribute performance of Black Sabbath\u2019s War Pigs featuring rapper Post Malone, Andrew Watt, Red Hot Chilli Peppers drummer Chad Smith and Guns And Roses members Duff McKagan and Slash. <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/3am\/us-celebrity-news\/breaking-sharon-osbourne-bursts-tears-36653216\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_self\">His daughter Kelly Osbourne, who was in the audience with her brother Jack and Sharon, were all seen in tears<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Kelly, 41, said afterwards: \u201cIt means more than I can express into words to see his peers in this community cherish him in such a way and a way that he deserves, and it\u2019ll be very emotional. I\u2019m here to support my mum, because it\u2019s just as much about her as well, he wouldn\u2019t have been him without her and vice versa.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Asked how she was coping following Ozzy\u2019s death, she said: \u201cTo be honest with you, I won\u2019t lie, people usually say I\u2019m great, I\u2019m not doing so great. It\u2019s the hardest thing I\u2019ve ever been through in my life, but I\u2019m getting through, and we\u2019re doing everything we can to try and just live in his legacy and be happy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Other British success at the show included Olivia Dean who won best new artist &#8211; the first Brit to do so since Dua Lipa in 2019. Lola Young won her first Grammy &#8211; Best Pop Performance &#8211; for her single Messy, which she also performed. Cynthia Erivo was named Best Pop Duo alongside her Wicked co-star <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/all-about\/ariana-grande\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">Ariana Grande<\/a> for their performance of Defying Gravity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Elsewhere, rap star Kendrick Lamar was the biggest winner. He was the most nominated artist at the ceremony with nine nods, winning five, collecting record of the year for his song Luther, featuring R&amp;B singer <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/all-about\/sza\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">SZA<\/a>. But he was pipped to the night\u2019s biggest prize &#8211; album of the year &#8211; by Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny.
