Argyle have made a second deadline day acquisition clinching the signing of Millwall defender Wes Harding on loan until the end of the season.<\/p>\n
Comfortable either centrally or at full back, Harding joins the club with considerable Championship and League One experience.<\/p>\n
The 29-year-old started his senior career at Birmingham City, playing 59 times, before joining Rotherham United. Harding made 140 appearances for the Millers and joined the Lions from there in the summer of 2023.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Head Coach Tom Cleverley is delighted to sign Harding and commented: \u201cWes provides not only versatility and experience to the group but real quality having spent much of his career at Championship level.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have been defensively sound in recent weeks, but it has been clear to everyone that we need more depth through the spine of our team.<\/p>\n
\u201cWes will only strengthen that, and we are really pleased to add him to the squad as we head towards the business end of the season.\u201d<\/p>\n
Argyle Director of Football, Derek Adams, added: \u201cWes is someone we have had our eye on for a while but as ever in January things often only fall into place late in the window.<\/p>\n
