If you&#8217;re playing on PS5, then there are at least some minor enhancements when played on the current-gen console via backwards compatibility. It was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/news\/2025\/12\/2016s-the-division-now-runs-smoother-than-ever-on-ps5\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">patched in December to run<\/a> at 60 frames-per-second.<\/p>\n<p>For the future of the franchise, there is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/news\/2026\/01\/ubisoft-cuts-jobs-at-massive-entertainment-with-the-division-3-still-in-development\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Division 3 in the works<\/a>, though it hasn&#8217;t been officially unveiled with any footage yet.
