{"id":406092,"date":"2026-02-03T19:08:11","date_gmt":"2026-02-03T19:08:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/406092\/"},"modified":"2026-02-03T19:08:11","modified_gmt":"2026-02-03T19:08:11","slug":"williams-unveils-2026-f1-car-livery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/406092\/","title":{"rendered":"Williams unveils 2026 F1 car livery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsport.com\/team\/williams\/13\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Williams<\/a> has unveiled the livery for its delayed 2026 Formula 1 car.<\/p>\n<p>The FW48 will feature a mainly dark blue and black design like its predecessors, but will also feature light blue and white on its sidepods, accommodating the Barclays and Komatsu logos, with more white on the front and rear wings.<\/p>\n<p>The team announced on Wednesday that the British bank would be its \u201cofficial banking partner\u201d, while Komatsu, a Japanese construction equipment manufacturer, has been sponsoring the outfit since the 2024 season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c2026 is the next step on the path back towards the top for Atlassian Williams F1 Team as we enter a new era for the sport, and we are excited about the season ahead,\u201d team principal James Vowles said.<\/p>\n<p>Read Also:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have a great driver line-up, some fantastic new partners, an ever-growing fanbase and want to build on the success we tasted last year, but we are not na\u00efve about the challenge ahead of us. Nobody quite knows what will happen at the first race but we are looking forward to finding out, and hope our fans will love cheering us on with this great new livery.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Williams\u2019 journey \u201cback towards the top\u201d got off to an inauspicious start as the team missed the Barcelona pre-season test, making its FW48 the only 2026 car yet to appear publicly \u2013 which remains the case as today is merely a livery reveal.<\/p>\n<p>The team owned up to \u201cdelays in the FW48 programme\u201d, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsport.com\/f1\/news\/how-williams-benefits-from-f1-barcelona-shakedown-despite-no-running\/10793799\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Vowles subsequently insisted Williams \u201ccould have made it to Barcelona\u201d<\/a>, though he admitted this would have put the squad on the back foot in terms of spare parts.<\/p>\n<p>   <img decoding=\"async\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/williams-fw48.jpg\" alt=\"Williams FW48\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" loading=\"lazy\"\/> <\/p>\n<p class=\"title\">Williams FW48<\/p>\n<p class=\"photographer\">Photo by: Williams<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have the power unit provided by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsport.com\/team\/mercedes\/5\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Mercedes<\/a>, the gearbox provided by Mercedes, so the learning that they\u2019re going through this week in Barcelona will carry over into us, into Bahrain,\u201d the Briton said last week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not that I want to be resting on their hard work, but also it is worth stating that that is still an advantage for us that falls out of it, or a disadvantage that\u2019s negated. I\u2019m confident with six days in Bahrain, we will run through the programme that we need to and it\u2019s why we\u2019re on the VTT [Virtual Test Track] now.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat I wanted to do is to make sure from the outset in Bahrain, we have a reliable car ready to go so that we&#8217;re not sitting there doing what a lot of individuals and teams are trying their best to do in Barcelona, but not leave the garage.
