\u201cCape Fear\u201d will make its global debut June 5 with a two-episode premiere on Apple TV, followed by new episodes every Friday through July 31.<\/p>\n

The news comes with the first images of stars Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men), Amy Adams (Arrival), and Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring) in the psychological horror-thriller.<\/p>\n

Hailing from Universal Content Productions and Amblin Television, the 10-episode limited series\u00a0is\u00a0executive produced by\u00a0Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg,<\/p>\n

It\u2019s created and executive produced by showrunner Nick Antosca (\u201cChannel Zero,\u201d \u201cBrand New Cherry Flavor\u201d). Morten Tyldum (The Imitation Game, Passengers) directed the pilot and serves as executive producer.<\/p>\n

A storm is coming for happily married attorneys Anna (Amy Adams) and Tom Bowden (Patrick Wilson) when Max Cady (Javier Bardem), the notorious killer they are responsible for putting behind bars, is let out of prison \u2014 and he wants vengeance.<\/p>\n

The show is based on both John D. MacDonald\u2018s 1957 novel The Executioners, which was adapted into 1962\u2019s Cape Fear starring Gregory Peck, and Scorsese\u2019s 1991 remake with Robert De Niro.<\/p>\n

CCH Pounder (\u201cThe Shield\u201d), Joe Anders (1917), Lily Collias (Good One), Jamie Hector (\u201cThe Wire\u201d), Malia Pyles (\u201cPretty Little Liars\u201d), and Anna Baryshnikov (Love Lies Bleeding) round out the ensemble.<\/p>\n

Ron Perlman (Hellboy), Ted Levine (The Silence of the Lambs), Margarita Levieva (\u201cDaredevil: Born Again\u201d), and Patrick Fischler (\u201cTwin Peaks\u201d) will recur.<\/p>\n
