Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has publicly apologised to her colleague, Mercy Johnson, her children and family, over past misunderstandings.\n<\/p>\n
In the video shared on her Instagram account on Wednesday, Okorie began by thanking her fans for thier support, saying, \u201cHi everybody, this is your one and only Legit Queen. I just want to say a very big thank you to all my fans around the world. I mean, I don\u2019t know what I might have done for you guys to show me this massive love. I\u2019m not a perfect being. Yes, I am not.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
She explained that the video was specifically directed at Mercy Johnson and her family. \u201cSo this video is specifically for Mercy and her kids and her family,\u201d she said.\n<\/p>\n
Okorie reflected on growing older and changes in priorities, saying, \u201cWhen you are getting older, a lot of things will be leaving you. While we were growing in the industry, some people will come and tell me that Mercy said, some people will tell me that Angela said. They have been issues, quarrels, chaos, logherheads, you know, and at this age, I don\u2019t think this is what I want.\u201d<\/p>\n
Angela Okorie apologised directly to Mercy Johnson, stating, \u201cI just want to apologise to you if it\u2019s just my words, if it\u2019s the words I have written anytime your name pops out on social media. I am deeply sorry. You are not a witch. You are not what people are calling you. This is just to say I am sorry.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
She also spoke about their children and the importance of peace among families. \u201cWe don\u2019t know where our kids will meet each other tomorrow. They might be best of friends. These kids have been travelling far and wide. They can meet anywhere in the world and they can be best of friends, and we as mothers, we cannot stop them from being friends,\u201d she said.\n<\/p>\n
Okorie condemned bullying, adding, \u201cI do not love the fact that they call Mercy\u2019s kids which is bullying them in school and all that. If they do it to my child, I won\u2019t take it.\u201d<\/p>\n
She repeated her apology, saying, \u201cSo this is to say I am sorry. Deeply sorry for everything. I love everybody. Like the Bible will say, make peace with all men. I am making peace with everybody. I don\u2019t know who I might have offended. Please knowingly or unknowingly, Biko\u201d\n<\/p>\n
She further described herself, saying, \u201cI am sorry, please forgive. Legit Queen is not a troublesome person. I\u2019m the most sweetest soul you can ever see or meet in your life. I am deeply sorry for everything I might have written or said against you. Mercy, this is a new beginning. You are my friend and you are still my friend. I will never listen to whatever anybody\u2019s gonna tell me about you again. If there is anything I hear, I will give you a call.\u201d <\/p>\n
Okorie also revealed that they had spoken privately. \u201cLike when we spoke on the phone with me, you apologised to me, said you\u2019re sorry, and I accepted you wholeheartedly,\u201d she said.\n<\/p>\n
She concluded by affirming her feelings and offering prayers for Mercy Johnson. \u201cGod in heaven knows that I don\u2019t have anything against you. I love you, and I pray that God blesses you and lifts you higher wherever you are in Jesus\u2019 name.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, PUNCH had earlier reported that Okorie was recently arrested in Lagos by operatives of the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department over a seven-count charge bordering on alleged cyberstalking, threats and harassment, before she was granted bail in the sum of \u20a65m.\n<\/p>\n
