Love Island UK<\/a> star Alex George<\/a> just revealed his latest diagnosis. He\u2019s still trying to wrap his head around it, but as his doctor recently confirmed, he\u2019s on the Autism spectrum. This diagnosis was beyond helpful for Alex. Because now, he can finally understand \u201cwhy I am the way I am.\u201d<\/p>\n

Love Island UK Alex George has revealed his autism diagnosis<\/p>\n

On Instagram, Alex created a post spanning across six different pages. In these pages, Alex revealed, \u201cI am autistic<\/a>. I was diagnosed recently after going through the in-depth assessment process. Sitting and reading the 300-odd-page report was the most surreal and strange experience of my life,\u201d he admitted, so he \u201chad to take some time to let it all sink in.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t explain how weird it is to be able to understand what I never could see,\u201d Alex continued. And now, \u201cI feel a little unnerved, confused, and unsteady, I guess. Not because I think it\u2019s a bad thing or even a good thing, it\u2019s just a lot, you know?\u201d But thankfully, this diagnosis has<\/a> already created many silver linings for Alex.<\/p>\n

For example, \u201cI can finally see and begin to understand why I am the way I am<\/a>. I have all the pieces of the jigsaw at last,\u201d he penned, joking that \u201cIt only took 34 years.\u201d Alex continued poking fun at himself, writing, \u201cThe hair dryer obsession makes sense now.\u201d And then, he thanked his fans, his mother, and his doctors before leaving his followers with one final thought.<\/p>\n

In closing, Alex penned, \u201cThe greatest gift we can give ourselves is the gift of acceptance. And for that to happen, we need to know who we truly are.\u201d Congratulations on unlocking yet another piece of your life\u2019s puzzle, Alex!<\/p>\n
