“Patient safety is our highest priority,” said a CUH spokesperson.<\/p>\n

“We continually review outcomes across our services to\u202fidentify\u202fwhere improvements can be made and to ensure patients receive the best possible care.”<\/p>\n

The review, first reported by Sky News, external<\/a>, is being carried out by two royal colleges – which are the medical bodies responsible for setting standards across the UK.<\/p>\n

It follows the start of another external review into Kuldeep Stohr, who is being investigated over hundreds of surgeries involving children at the hospital.<\/p>\n

In October, Addenbrooke’s was criticised for missed opportunities<\/a> to reduce harm to patients. <\/p>\n

According to the hospital’s website, external<\/a>, Addenbrooke’s provides acute neurosurgical services for all of East Anglia.<\/p>\n
