After three failed marriages, Halle Berry<\/a> still believes in lasting love and she revealed Thursday that she and her Grammy-winning boyfriend Van Hunt are engaged.<\/p>\n

‘Well, there’s some confusion that he asked to marry me and I said no,’ the 59-year-old Oscar winner said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/a>.<\/p>\n

‘No, that’s not the case. I did not say no. We just don’t have a date.’<\/p>\n

After a beat, Berry confirmed: ‘But of course I said I would marry him! He did put a little ring on it.’<\/p>\n

‘Little’ is funny considering the sheer size of the unique bauble featuring a center diamond surrounded by a square cut design on a large gold band.<\/p>\n

The Crime<\/a> 101 action star was referring to her interview with The Cut <\/a>on Monday where she revealed the 55-year-old neo soul artist had proposed last June, and she ‘hadn’t said yes’ but would make an exception for ‘health reasons’ due to the access that comes with a legal spouse.<\/p>\n

Berry was first set up with Hunt through his brother during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in April 2020, but they only texted and talked on the phone until their first date four months later.<\/p>\n

‘After my third divorce, people started to say, “What’s wrong with her? She’s crazy. She can’t keep a man,”‘ the Re-spin co-founder recalled to the mag.<\/p>\n

‘I pretty much stopped doing interviews for a decade because I got tired of the same old story. It was always: “Poor Halle \u2014 Unlucky in Love Again.”‘<\/p>\n

Berry continued: ‘And I would always argue, “Who says I want to keep a man if he’s not the right man?” I’m in the best relationship I have ever had.’<\/p>\n
