The\u00a0signing\u00a0ceremony was held at Bangladesh Navy Headquarters following extensive technical engagement between the Bangladesh Navy, the UK Ministry of Defence and Royal Navy.\u00a0The vessel, known for its distinguished service in survey operations, humanitarian support, and disaster\u2011response missions, will now help strengthen Bangladesh\u2019s maritime security and regional stability efforts.\u00a0It will also provide hydrographic,\u00a0oceanographic\u00a0and scientific research capability and offer significant research opportunities for\u00a0Bangladeshi universities.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The signing ceremony was attended by the British High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Sarah Cooke; Defence Attach\u00e9 at the British High Commission Dhaka, Commander Lee Norton; and UK Ministry of Defence Commercial Officer Nanise\u00a0Qalobulawasaikabara,\u00a0representing\u00a0the UK Government. From the Bangladesh side, Admiral M. Nazmul Hassan, Chief of Naval Staff, and Rear Admiral Jahangir Adil\u00a0Samdany, Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Logistics), were present.<\/p>\n
