Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Aminul Islam Bulbul has reportedly flown to Pakistan early on Sunday morning to attend an emergency virtual meeting of the International Cricket Council (ICC) over Pakistan’s boycott of the India-Pakistan World Cup match on February 15.

The meeting, to be held virtually today, is expected to involve other board members of the ICC, according to a report by Pakistani TV channel, Geo TV.

Bulbul will also meet Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi before departing for Dhaka, the report said.

The development comes against the backdrop of Pakistan’s decision to boycott its World Cup match against India, scheduled for February 15, amid what the PCB has described as the ICC’s biased approach, with Bangladesh playing a central role in the dispute.

Bulbul’s departure for Pakistan was corroborated by BCB director Asif Akbar in the early hours of Sunday.

The BCB chief’s reported arrival in Pakistan is being viewed in the context of earlier Indian media reports claiming that the ICC was seeking back-channel talks with the PCB and had tasked its deputy chairman Imran Khwaja, to engage with the Pakistani board on the issue.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Aminul Islam Bulbul has reportedly flown to Pakistan early on Sunday morning to…

[34
153504,153501,153499,153506,153502,153497,1721,153509,153503,153498,153505,153500,153510,153507,101,56,54,55,153508
post-414712","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-cricket","tag-aminul-islam-bulbul-attends-icc-crisis-meeting","tag-aminul-islam-bulbul-pakistan","tag-bangladesh-cricket-board-icc-meeting","tag-bangladesh-role-in-icc-pakistan-india-dispute","tag-bcb-president-flies-to-pakistan-for-icc-meeting","tag-bcb-president-pakistan-visit","tag-cricket","tag-icc-crisis-meeting","tag-icc-emergency-meeting-over-pakistan-india-match-boycott","tag-icc-emergency-meeting-pakistan-boycott","tag-pakistan-boycott-india-world-cup-february-15","tag-pakistan-boycotts-india-world-cup-match","tag-pakistan-cricket-board-boycott-decision","tag-pcb-icc-conflict-world-cup-match","tag-sports","tag-uk","tag-united-kingdom","tag-unitedkingdom","tag-why-did-pakistan-boycott-the-india-world-cup-match
["GET
