Sandro Tonali is on Manchester United<\/a>‘s summer wishlist as speculation over the Newcastle<\/a> midfielder’s future continues to grow following talk of a surprise move to Arsenal<\/a> in the winter transfer window.<\/p>\n The Italy star, 25, was linked with the Gunners on deadline day last week with reports claiming he had been ‘offered’ to Mikel Arteta’s side<\/a>. Like Anderson and Wharton, Tonali, who boasts plenty of Premier League<\/a> experience, would require no bedding-in period.<\/p>\n Newcastle would stand to make a significant profit on the \u00a355million sum they paid to bring Tonali to St James Park from AC Milan in the summer of 2023.<\/p>\n Tonali’s agent, Giuseppe Riso, fuelled talk that his client is leaning towards a transfe rwith comments me hade to Tuttosport last week.<\/p>\n Tonali wants to play in the Champions League again next year(Image: AFP\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n \u201cNewcastle are having a hard time letting go of Sandro, and he wants to lead the club to the Champions League,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019ll evaluate and decide what to do in the summer. These transfer discussions will take place later. We\u2019ll see how the season ends and then we\u2019ll decide what to do.\u201d<\/p>\n He added: \u201cThere\u2019s no preference at the moment. It\u2019s still early. What we\u2019re saying today won\u2019t apply tomorrow.
