Coventry City now turn their attention to one of their biggest games of the season so far as they prepare to take on nearest automatic promotion rivals Middlesbrough.<\/p>\n

The Teessiders visit the CBS Arena next Monday (Feb 16, 8pm) in a top of the table six-pointer with the Sky Blues<\/a> ahead of the final 14 games of the Championship campaign.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, here we take a look at what\u2019s going on in and around the club.<\/p>\n

Risky business<\/p>\n

Joel Latibeaudiere reflected on Saturday\u2019s frustrating goalless draw against Oxford \u2013 a game in which the Sky Blues had more than enough chances to win the game.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, definitely, and it\u2019s definitely frustrating,\u201d agreed the centre-back. \u201cIt always frustrating when a game like that happens. You know, you put so much pressure on the opposition and you can\u2019t quite get the goals, the ball won\u2019t drop for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

City had 23 attempts, five of which were on target but then when Oxford were reduced to ten men they inevitably sat deeper, making it even more difficult to break them down.<\/p>\n

The defender did think there was something City could have done better at that stage, saying: \u201cI think what we could have done better is risk the ball. You know, just keep putting it into those danger areas and when it drops, being around those sort of ricochets and that\u2019s how you get your goal.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, we didn\u2019t risk the ball enough. And obviously we\u2019ll go back, look at it and see what we need to work on but it isn\u2019t always as easy as you think when a team goes down to 10 men, especially a team like Oxford that are fighting to stay in the league and who have a lot of tough players. And they defended well in the end.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cBut yeah, and you have to take the positives. It was great to be back at the CBS. We created chances but we just couldn\u2019t put it to bed. So that\u2019s for us to go look at and then focus on getting better and better, especially at this time of the season. We want to be winning and winning so we\u2019ll go back, look at the game and move on.\u201d<\/p>\n

City\u2019s shrewd move<\/p>\n

Deadline day signing Frank Onyeka is yet to make his debut since joining Coventry<\/a> City on loan from Brentford, having been an unused sub during the weekend\u2019s 0-0 draw with Oxford.<\/p>\n

But his parent club boss Keith Andrews believes the 28-year-old holding midfielder has the quality to help the Sky Blues get promoted back to the Premier League<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Andrews told trainee sports journalist Dicken Richards at last week\u2019s pre-match press conference ahead of the 3-2 win at Newcastle: \u201cFrank\u2019s a Nigerian international, that\u2019s vastly experienced.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s been on this journey with the club since being promoted from the championship. Tough tackling, box to box midfielder that can get goals.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he\u2019s a really shrewd buy for Coventry, for where they\u2019re at and where they hopefully want to get to.\u201d<\/p>\n

Perry impresses on loan<\/p>\n

Development squad defender Callum Perry is impressing during his current loan spell at non-league Rochdale where the 20-year-old has helped the club to six consecutive wins since joining them last month.<\/p>\n

Top of the table Dale have kept four clean sheets and conceded just two goals since Perry joined them on an initial one month loan on January 15. Given his success, it looks like the left-sided centre-half \u2013 who has captained the Sky Blues Under-21s and been an unused sub on Frank Lampard\u2019s first team bench this season \u2013 is set to extend his stay.<\/p>\n

The Coventry player was drafted in as cover for Sam Beckwith, who is out injured for the remainder of the season.<\/p>\n

Manager Jimmy McNulty said: \u201cPerry brings some of those in possession qualities that Sam has, which we\u2019ve been looking for since the injury.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s very highly thought of at Coventry. He\u2019s a good character and we think in our system he can be a very good player for us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Perry was a member of the Birmingham City academy until 2019, when he joined Coventry.<\/p>\n

He progressed through the ranks to sign his professional contract with the Sky Blues in the summer of 2024. He spent time on loan with Northern Premier League side AFC Rushden & Diamonds in the 2023\/24 season and has been a regular for Coventry\u2019s Under-21s in recent campaigns.<\/p>\n

Coventry City development defender Callum Perry is enjoying a terrific loan spell at non-league Rochdale<\/p>\n

Dausch joins Scunny<\/p>\n

Another Coventry City<\/a> development squad player has gone out on loan to a non-league club to gain vital experience.<\/p>\n

Teenager striker Aidan Dausch joined National League Scunthorpe United last week until the end of the season.<\/p>\n

The forward made his first appearance as a second-half substitute in their 1-0 win over Southend United on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The 19-year-old had been recalled by the Sky Blues from a season-long loan at Forest Green Rovers where he scored once in 11 appearances.<\/p>\n

Dausch joined Coventry at the age of 16 and has made two Championship appearances from the bench to date, both under former manager Mark Robins.<\/p>\n

Sky Blues Under-21s striker Aidan Dausch has joined non-league Scunthorpe on loan<\/p>\n

City survey<\/p>\n

Coventry City season ticket holders are being asked for their views as the Sky Blues launch the largest supporter survey ever conducted by the club.<\/p>\n

The survey will be sent this Sunday via email to all general admission 2025\/26 Season Ticket holders who have opted in to receive emails from Coventry City, giving fans the chance to share their views on a wide range of topics, including ticketing, retail, stewarding, matchday entertainment and more.<\/p>\n

Mark Hornby, Head of External Relations at Coventry City, said: \u201cThis is a great opportunity for a vast number of fans to give their feedback to us on a wide range of different topics, on a scale that has not been done previously.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs we continue to move forward, it\u2019s vital that we engage with our supporters and understand what matters most to them, plus what we are doing well and what we can do better.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe responses we receive are a key part of our engagement with supporters and will help shape our ongoing work to improve matchdays and the wider experience for our fans.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ticket news<\/p>\n

Ticket details have been confirmed for Coventry City\u2019s away game against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.<\/p>\n

The Sky Blues travel to South Yorkshire on Wednesday, February 25, with a 7.45pm kick-off for the Sky Bet Championship encounter.<\/p>\n

Coventry City have a full allocation of 2,858 tickets for this fixture. Fans can purchase one ticket per Supporter Number.<\/p>\n
