BBC Studios is developing a US version of Here We Go, the BBC sitcom<\/a> starring Alison Steadman. Created by and starring Tom Basden (After Life, Plebs), the series features Gavin & Stacey’s Steadman alongside The IT Crowd’s Katherine Parkinson, Sex Education’s Jim Howick, and Tori Allen-Martin. <\/p>\n

Set in Bedford, the show<\/a> follows the dysfunctional lives of the eccentric Jessop family from the shaky point of view of their teenage son Sam’s handheld camera. <\/p>\n

The logline for the series reads: “The Jessops navigate everyday family (mis)fortunes – from new jobs to kidnapping dogs.”<\/p>\n

Per a Deadline<\/a> report, the US version of Here We Go will see The Good Place writer Matt Murray pen the script, while Amy Poehler (Parks and Recreation, Inside Out) is set to executive produce for US production company Paper Kite. <\/p>\n

The UK version was recently recommissioned for a fourth season that will see Steadman reprise her role as Sue Jessop alongside returning cast members Basden, Parkinson, Howick and Allen-Martin. <\/p>\n

Also reprising their roles from season three are Freya Parks, Jude Morgan-Collie, Mica Ricketts, Ed Kear and Jon Furlong.<\/p>\n

Speaking about a fourth season, Basden said in a statement: “The Jessops are like a second family to me, so I\u2019m utterly delighted to be bringing Here We Go back on the BBC for a catastrophic New Year\u2019s special <\/a>and I can\u2019t wait to start work on series 4!”<\/p>\n

A hit among audiences, Here We Go has a user rating of 7.5 out of 10 on IMDb<\/a>, with many viewers praising the sitcom. <\/p>\n
