{"id":417019,"date":"2026-02-10T00:18:08","date_gmt":"2026-02-10T00:18:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/417019\/"},"modified":"2026-02-10T00:18:08","modified_gmt":"2026-02-10T00:18:08","slug":"2026-michelin-stars-revealed-all-the-new-stars-in-the-great-britain-ireland-guide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/417019\/","title":{"rendered":"2026 Michelin stars revealed: All the new stars in the Great Britain &#038; Ireland Guide"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Two new restaurants were awarded their second star in the 2026 ceremony in Dublin \u2013 Row on 5 and Bonheur by Matt Ab\u00e9, both in London, England.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecaterer.com\/indepth\/jason-atherton-and-spencer-metzger-to-open-london-restaurant-row-on-5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Row on 5 <\/a>was awarded its second Michelin star after winning its first star in last year\u2019s ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The restaurant\u2019s executive chef Spencer Metzger said the restaurant was \u201ca dream to work in\u201d and chef patron Jason Atherton praised his colleague as \u201cthe next generation of talent\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Bonheur by Matt Ab\u00e9 was awarded two Michelin stars<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecaterer.com\/indepth\/matt-abe-on-taking-on-the-le-gavroche-site-with-bonheur-this-is-a-new-time-a-new-era\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"> just three months after opening.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Michelin international director, Gwendal Poullennec said of chef Matt Ab\u00e9: \u201cIn a very short space of time this chef has shown that he is very much his own man \u2013 expressing a clear vision, distinctive style and future ambition.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Bonheur sits in the same location as Michel Roux\u2019s restaurant Le Gavroche in Mayfair, London, which was the first restaurant in the UK to win three Michelin stars.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Bonheur is a new venture in collaboration with chef Gordon Ramsay, who trained at the former restaurant when he was just 22.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Matt Ab\u00e9 said of opening Bonheur in the same location as Le Gavroche: \u201cIt\u2019s daunting and challenging but something I would run to with arms wide open. I just want to continue to legacy, nurture talent and hopefully carry that on for the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s amazing what we\u2019ve done in three months &#8211; I\u2019m really proud of the team and all the hard work everyone puts in,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There were no new restaurants awarded a third Michelin star in tonight\u2019s ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Legado in London, England was among the restaurants to be awarded its first star in\u00a0the Michelin Guide Great Britain &amp; Ireland 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Chef Nieves Barrag\u00e1n Mohacho, who opened the restaurant in August in partnership with JKS Restaurant, said: \u201cI have worked so hard on this project for many many years \u2013 I am super happy and super happy for the team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Other restaurants to win their first star in this year\u2019s ceremony include J\u00f6ro in Sheffield and Mar\u00e9 by Rafael Cagali in Brighton and Hove \u2013 marking the region\u2019s first Michelin star in almost 50 years.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Two establishments in the Republic of Ireland were awarded their first star \u2013 Forest Avenue in Dublin and The Pullman in Galway.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Two restaurants in Scotland \u2013 Killiecrankie House near Pitlochry and 1887 in Torridon &#8211;
