An unbeaten contender would welcome fights with three huge names in the sport \u2013 Terence Crawford, Errol Spence Jr and Jaron Ennis.<\/p>\n

\u2018Bud\u2019 Crawford is just over one month away from his highly-anticipated clash with Mexico\u2019s undisputed super-middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez<\/a>, as the pound-for-pound duo gear up to do battle in Las Vegas on September 13.<\/p>\n

Whether Crawford is victorious or not against the Mexican great<\/a>, if the 37-year-old decided to drop back down to a more natural weight he could go on to face reigning WBC interim super-lightweight champion Vergil Ortiz Jr, who has stopped 21 of the 23 opponents he has beaten.<\/p>\n

Speaking to CBS Sports<\/a>, Ortiz welcomed a future clash with \u2018Bud\u2019 in what he describes as an \u2018amazing\u2019 opportunity.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know how we would do it but if it does happen, that would be amazing. We have been calling for that fight since [they both were at welterweight] and it has been a few years now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another option for Ortiz could be a clash with former unified welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr, who has yet to return to the ring since suffering defeat to Crawford two years ago.<\/p>\n

Speaking to DAZN<\/a>, Ortiz admitted that a potential showdown with Spence would \u2018mean a lot\u2019 to him as he shares details on his history with the 35-year-old.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt would mean a lot to me because I grew up with Spence. It would just be a cool full circle moment. I just can\u2019t explain it because I was there. It\u2019s just that feeling. It would mean a lot to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The most likely option for the 27-year-old Texan would be an intriguing clash with former WBA and IBF welterweight champion Jaron Ennis, who recently announced that he is making the move up to 154lbs.<\/p>\n

A bout between Ortiz and \u2018Boots\u2019 has reportedly been discussed between the fighters teams over the last month.
