\nrange and mission flexibility to meet the evolving needs of the
\nadvanced air mobility market.<\/p>\n

Evolito is a leading electric propulsion and power generation
\nfor aerospace with light weight, compact electric motors and DAL A
\nintegrated systems. In this partnership, Evolito will provide its
\nunique EPU (electric propulsion unit) architecture, lightweight,
\nefficient axial flux electric motors and high-integrity DAL-A power
\nelectronics, integrated into a single electric engine, providing
\nthe extended range, high performance and built-in redundancy
\nrequired for Valo’s entry into commercial service.<\/p>\n

As part of the partnership, Vertical and Evolito plan to jointly
\ncertify the EPUs with the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), with
\nconcurrent validation with the European Union Aviation Safety
\nAgency (EASA), which is expected to be followed by global regulator
\nvalidation. Evolito holds CAA Design Organisation Approval \u2013
\na prerequisite for UK type certification and commercial
\noperations.<\/p>\n

Vertical’s hybrid-electric variant offers greater range and
\nmission flexibility to meet the evolving needs of the Advanced Air
\nMobility market, with Evolito’s EPUs integrated into the
\nplatform.<\/p>\n

This news comes hot on the heels of the announcement of
\nEvolito’s partnership with Electra, to provide EPUs for fixed
\n(blown) wing aircraft. With the addition of Vertical’s
\npartnership in the eVTOL space, Evolito are clearly demonstrating a
\nbroad range of application for their novel axial flux motor EPU
