The Hoops boss is assuming Celts will be allocated the full Broomloan Stand at Ibrox for next month’s Scottish Cup clash<\/p>\n

Martin O’Neill told his Celtic players they’d draw Rangers <\/a>away in the Scottish Cup. And the Hoops boss fully expects they’ll be allocated the full Broomloan Stand for their quarter-final tie at Ibrox.<\/p>\n

Celts head to Ibrox twice in a week at the start of next month, first on Premiership duty before returning for a winner-takes-all last-eight cup clash.<\/p>\n

Cup rules mean the Parkhead club can request up to 20 per cent of the stadium’s capacity for their away ticket allocation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That’s unlikely, but there is real hope that fans will see a return of the traditional Celtic<\/a> allocation for games at Ibrox, which is the entirety of the Broomloan Stand.<\/p>\n

That hasn’t been the case since March 2018, when Gers slashed the number of away tickets for Old Firm derbies following a 3-2 win for the ten-man visitors.<\/p>\n

And O’Neill, <\/a>who was convinced his team were destined to play the Light Blues or Neil Lennon’s Dunfermline, expects the full allocation to be forthcoming.<\/p>\n

“I guessed it really,” he said. “I told the lads it would be Rangers away or Dunfermline with Lenny. It’ll be tough, four games in 10 days but it is what it is.<\/p>\n

“I don’t know the club’s stance but if you take me out of the club at this minute just being a supporter, we want all the tickets that we can get and the allocation that’s available to us under the rules. I assume that would be forthcoming.”<\/p>\n

As for seeing away supports in these games return to the numbers of old, O’Neill is all for it. He added: “I think that would be lovely. I talked to a lot of people down south and they think the exact same – it would be fantastic if the full allocation was given back to both clubs.”<\/p>\n

Livingston are the visitors to Celtic Park on Wednesday night and fans are hoping to get a first glimpse of new signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.<\/p>\n

The former Arsenal and Liverpool star has been training with his new teammates since signing at the weekend and could be pitched in against the Lions.<\/p>\n

“He’s doing fine,” said O’Neill. “He trained yesterday and today and is looking pretty good.<\/p>\n

We’ll have a little look at that later today. I haven’t picked the squad yet but we’ll have a look at that.”<\/p>\n

The Hoops boss also confirmed that Kieran Tierney is fit despite a head knock against Dundee. He added: “Kieran came off with a suspected concussion.
