The Australian is the early frontrunner to step into the Parkhead hot seat when Martin O’Neill leaves the role\"Ange<\/p>\n

Out-of-work Ange Postecoglou<\/a> has made a rare public appearance after his ill-fated spell at Nottingham Forest.<\/p>\n

It comes with the Greek-Australian being among the favourites to replace Martin O’Neill at Celtic when his contract comes to an end in the summer. The 60-year-old was shown the door at the City Ground after just eight games in the hotseat.<\/p>\n

He left in the midst of a Premier League <\/a>relegation scrap, but the club’s fortunes have not improved under his successor Sean Dyche. It was Postecoglou\u2019s second sacking in just three months after a 17th place Premier League finish saw him axed despite ending the club’s silverware drought.<\/p>\n

Postecoglou has recently picked up a role on UEFA\u2018s Technical Observer Panel. <\/a>That sees him work alongside the likes of Rafa Benitez, Roberto Martinez and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.<\/p>\n

Now Postecoglou has given a surprise talk in Norway to revisit his time at Spurs following in his first public cameo after leaving Forest. The Daily Mail<\/a> showed the boss at the University of Agder in Kristiansand delivering a tactical analysis of a Tottenham game.<\/p>\n

The discussion comes after his former Celtic<\/a> ally Anton McElhone opened up on his time working with the boss. Postecoglou left Glasgow for North London following two successful seasons – including a Treble in his final campaign as boss.<\/p>\n

He insists that European success could have followed Posteocglou if he had stuck with the Hoops beyond 2021. Former Head of Sports Science Elhone told World Football Index<\/a>: \u201cHe\u2019s a colossus.<\/p>\n

“A legendary leader. His clarity, people management, and understanding of the game are elite.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou always knew what was required. He held people accountable but trusted staff to do their jobs.<\/p>\n

“If he\u2019d stayed longer at Celtic, I genuinely believe further European success was possible. We went to places like Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen playing fearless football.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s a Premier League level manager, and he\u2019s proven that.\u201d<\/p>\n
