Eni Aluko has appeared to confirm that she has decided to step away from British television amid her latest row. The former Lionesses<\/a> star made headlines once again this week as she decided to take aim at ITV<\/a>, as well as Ian Wright<\/a>, for her lack of opportunities within broadcasting.<\/p>\n She then appeared on talkSPORT<\/a> alongside Jim White<\/a> and Simon Jordan<\/a> to clarify her comments. She suggested that her decrease in opportunities is an active choice, having chosen to turn down a number of gigs.<\/p>\n Asked if she now believes broadcasting in the UK is an option, she said: \u201cI think in the UK\u2026 it\u2019s a very toxic space for me. That was my point.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t have skin in the game anymore, I\u2019m not trying to get people out of the way so I can get in. You\u2019ve got to recognise the environments you can thrive and really do your thing.<\/p>\n \u201cI just don\u2019t feel (that in) the UK at this moment in time. He said: \u201cAs far as expertise is concerned, when I listen to her as a pundit in the times that I\u2019ve listened to her, I don\u2019t think that she\u2019s particularly enlightening or illuminating or engaging or charismatic, or sometimes comes across particularly likeable.<\/p>\n \u201cThe language that you use, Eni, is to me steeped in a sense of entitlement. I mean, the sheer weight of the entitlement that you seem to believe that you have would re-sink the Titanic.<\/p>\n \u201cI think you\u2019ve been quite fortuitous.
