This article contains spoilers for tonight\u2019s (Wednesday, February 11) episode of Coronation Street<\/a>, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on YouTube<\/a> and ITVX.<\/p>\n Theo Silverton<\/a> (James Cartwright<\/a>) finally returned to Coronation Street tonight, and brought with him further torture for poor Todd Grimshaw<\/a> (Gareth Pierce<\/a>).<\/p>\n Todd has been enduring abuse from boyfriend Theo in all forms for months, from verbal and physical to psychological and financial.<\/p>\n For the past few days, Theo had been away visiting his sick mum. This would have been a period of respite for Todd, had Theo not found a way to exert control over his partner from a distance<\/a>.<\/p>\n Prior to his departure, Theo found out that Todd had fallen into some credit card<\/a> debt after a period of unemployment. Claiming he was acting in Todd\u2019s best interests, Theo took control of his finances, going so far as to cut up his card so he couldn\u2019t access his account.<\/p>\n Theo explained that it was easier to keep track of spending when paying with cash, and promised Todd that if he needed access to any of his money he just had to ask.<\/p>\n \t\t When Theo left to see his mum, he promised to be back by the end of the day, leaving Todd with a tenner to see him through. However, his trip stretched from a few hours to an overnight stay, and soon he was there for several days.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Todd had completely run out of cash, and was forced to rely on handouts from friends and an advance on his wages, leaving him humiliated as he was lectured by George Shuttleworth<\/a> (Tony Maudsley<\/a>) for spending beyond his means.<\/p>\n Theo returned home unannounced in tonight\u2019s episode, which clearly stirred up mixed emotions for Todd.<\/p>\n It took barely any time at all for Theo\u2019s abuse to start up again, as he made snide comments about Todd joining James Bailey (Jason Callender) for breakfast after his run.<\/p>\n It escalated further when Theo went rooting through the bin and found a takeaway bag from Speed Daal, which Todd had shared with George.<\/p>\n \t\t Making comments about Todd\u2019s weight, Theo ordered him on another run, uninterested in the fact that Todd was already achy and exhausted from his morning session.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\tDon’t miss a Soaps scoop! However, Theo wasn\u2019t satisfied by his plans to soak in the bath.<\/p>\n He made it clear that he wanted to have sex with Todd, and though he declined, Theo turned on the manipulation tactics, until Todd felt as though he had no choice but to agree.<\/p>\n Afterwards, Todd was clearly in pain, though Theo completely ignored this fact. <\/p>\n How much more abuse will Todd be forced to endure before someone works out what has really been going on?
