A main Black Country road is closed after three men were injured in a fight.<\/p>\n

A man was taken to hospital by ambulance after disorder broke out in Bearwood around 6pm on Wednesday (Feb 11).<\/p>\n

An investigation was launched with West Midlands Police<\/a> closing off Bearwood High Street just after the junction of Reginald Road.<\/p>\n

Two further victims then self-presented at hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of assault.<\/p>\n

Officers remain in the area this evening as they try to piece together what happened.<\/p>\n

Sandwell<\/a> Police said: “We were called to reports of disorder in Bearwood shortly before 6pm this evening (11 Feb).<\/p>\n

“Two men later presented at hospital, while a third was taken to hospital by ambulance, and their injuries are currently being assessed.<\/p>\n

“Our investigation is at an early stage and a cordon remains in place on Bearwood Road as officers carry out a range of enquiries to establish the exact circumstances around what happened.<\/p>\n

“Three men have been arrested on suspicion of assault.<\/p>\n

“At this stage we believe this to be an isolated incident, and local officers will remain in the area this evening.<\/p>\n

“We would urge anyone with information or footage to call us on 101 or speak to us via Live Chat on our website, quoting log 4666 of 11 February.”<\/p>\n

National Express West Midlands have diverted the number 82 and 87 bus routes.<\/p>\n

A post on X said: “Incident on Bearwood Road\/High Street #Bearwood Services will be diverting in both directions via: 82 – Sandon Road, City Road, Portland Road, Shireland Road 87 – Windmill Lane, Soho Way and Crocketts Lane.”<\/p>\n

Traffic provider Inrix is reporting that the Smethwick<\/a> High Street is also both directions closed “due to serious accident from the High Street to the Roslyn Close.”<\/p>\n

There is a report of “white Audi sealed off down by Crocketts lane.”<\/p>\n
