Hundreds of people have reported issues with\u00a0Virgin Media<\/a>\u00a0this morning, according to internet disruption tracker\u00a0Downdetector<\/a>.<\/p>\n Some said that the issue appeared right as they were trying to watch day five of the England vs India cricket test match, and could not access Sky Sports. <\/p>\n David Patterson wrote on X: \u2018I can\u2019t log onto SkySports. It seems to go wrong during the login to VirginMedia from the SkySports Site. I can\u2019t believe I\u2019m missing the end of the Test Match!! Help!\u2019<\/p>\n A Virgin Media spokesperson posted in reply: \u2018This is a known issue. Please send us a DM though so we can feedback your details to the team.\u2019<\/p>\n One user shared screenshots showing they were first told \u2018Apologies, we can\u2019t load the page at the moment\u2019, and then: \u2018Our systems are currently down for maintenance, you can try again after 7am.\u2019<\/p>\n Others queried whether the problem could be related to a new verification system for log-ins.<\/p>\n One man wrote: \u2018It looks like your new authentication service \u2013 which only started today \u2013 is either struggling with volumes of registration or not able to send SMS. Please do pass to your support team.\u2019<\/p>\n In reply to another customer who complained on X, Virgin Media wrote: \u2018Sorry to hear you are having issues with our platform. <\/p>\n sorry to hear of the issues experienced accessing some of your accounts. We’ve reached out to our team and been advised there is a known issue the team are working on although there is currently no estimated fix time for this.
