Kian Moulton was labelled a ‘scumbag’ by a family member after he murdered Birmingham<\/a> schoolboy Leo Ross.<\/p>\n

None of Moulton’s family or friends were inside the court during the teenager’s sentencing on Tuesday (Feb 10).<\/p>\n

According to The Mirror,<\/a> at least one close relative has ‘completely disowned’ Moulton.<\/p>\n

The family member said the court case had been a difficult time ‘because of my name being attached to what that scumbag did’.<\/p>\n

They added there ‘is a lot’ they could say about the way he was brought up.<\/p>\n

The court was previously told that Moulton’s parents split up when he was young and he had minimal contact with his mother from the age of four.<\/p>\n

But the family member made it clear they were not interested in defending or making excuses for the killer.<\/p>\n

The close relative added: “I couldn\u2019t care less what happens to him.”<\/p>\n

Moulton’s family have moved to a different area following his crime.<\/p>\n

After he admitted he had stabbed Leo, 12, to death last year, Moulton, now 15, was sentenced to life with a minimum of 13 years.<\/p>\n

This means Moulton may only be 27 when he is released from prison.<\/p>\n
