Former Leeds United<\/a> duo Ross McCormack and Matt Kilgallon are set to step inside the ring to battle each other in a boxing match to raise funds for charity this April.<\/p>\n The pair are on the card for the \u2018Night To Remember\u2019 event, where former athletes are given the opportunity to pull on the gloves for good causes. Last year, the inaugural event raised \u00a3127,000 for charity.<\/p>\n Former Stoke City defender Carl Dickinson is one of the names of this year’s fight card, while ex Scottish striker Chris Iwelumo is set to take on Swansea City hero Lee Trundle.<\/p>\n Now McCormack<\/a> – who played 157 times for Leeds – and Kilgallon – 95 Whites appearances – have been unveiled as the latest to get involved.<\/p>\n The event is set to take place at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool on April 17 with proceeds going to Children’s Charity Merseyside and Autism Merseyside.<\/p>\n \u201cI am excited and delighted to be involved in this incredible event,\u201d said McCormack. \u201cI am looking forward to the training, getting back in a routine, having some structure back for the next 12 weeks and reconnecting with lads I played with and against.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s also an opportunity for me to help others, get fit and experience being in the ring for what will be a once in a lifetime opportunity and something I\u2019ve always wanted to do.\u201d<\/p>\n
