Kaley Cuoco<\/a> has opened up about her experience with Botox, which she started halfway through The Big Bang Theory<\/a>.<\/p>\n The actress, 40, played Penny in the hit CBS comedy series, where the show follows four socially awkward friends, Leonard, Sheldon, Howard and Raj, whose lives are turned upside down when they meet the beautiful and free-spirited Penny.<\/p>\n It ran from 2007 to 2019, with Jim Parsons playing Sheldon, Johnny Galecki playing Leonard, Simon Helberg playing Howard and Kunal Nayyar playing Raj.<\/p>\n Opening up, Kaley recently admitted that her experience with Botox left her unable to move her face while trying to tell jokes as Penny during filming.<\/p>\n Kaley Cuoco’s experience with Botox The actress, 40, played Penny in the hit CBS comedy series(Image: 2009 CBS Photo Archive via Getty Images)<\/p>\n Appearing on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast with Amanda Hirsch, Kaley said: “It was deep into the show, like halfway maybe. I just wanted to do a little Botox. I did my forehead and all this stuff. And I was so excited.”<\/p>\n However, upon returning to set, Kaley noticed she could not move her forehead anymore, which was needed for her character and scenes on the show.<\/p>\n She continued: “It was the same week there is a scene where I have to, like, really do this thing with my face [and] I could not move. I was literally doing these jokes, and nothing moved. My forehead didn\u2019t move, and it looked like I was trying to move it.”<\/p>\n Kaley added: “The fact that no one said anything, they probably were thinking it\u2026 I couldn\u2019t believe how bad it looked. And that\u2019s when I thought, ‘whoa’, like we don\u2019t need the\u2026 let\u2019s calm it down.”<\/p>\n The actress admitted that she continued to receive Botox injections but made sure her forehead was left alone. Kaley announced her engagement to Ozark actor Tom Pelphrey<\/a> in August 2024.<\/p>\n Kaley tells host Graham Norton: “He had no idea about it when we met. The first time I met Tom\u2019s family his mom\u2019s partner kept calling me ‘Penny’.<\/p>\n “I didn\u2019t say anything because I thought it was sweet, but I could see Tom looking confused, and when we got in the car he said, ‘I am so sorry, I told him your name so I\u2019ve no idea why he called you Penny all day.’ I had to explain it was from the show.
