This article contains spoilers for tonight\u2019s (Friday, February 13) Coronation Street<\/a>, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on YouTube<\/a> and ITVX<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Todd Grimshaw<\/a> (Gareth Pierce<\/a>) has been pushing himself to the limit while training for his upcoming marathon.<\/p>\n

His sudden dedication to his fitness routine was ignited by boyfriend Theo Silverton<\/a> (James Cartwright<\/a>), whose abuse has had a devastating effect on Todd.<\/p>\n

It began with Theo making harsh comments about his weight and diet<\/a>, before encouraging him to work out more and more.<\/p>\n

When he suggested signing up for the marathon, Todd was against the idea, and was horrified to learn that Theo had signed them up behind his back. To make matters worse, he told their friends that Todd was running in Paul Foreman\u2019s memory<\/a>, and was raising money for an MND charity<\/a>, to guilt him into going along with it.<\/p>\n

Since then, Theo has used Todd\u2019s fitness routine as another means of control. He even bought Todd a fitness watch so that he could track his location and heartrate, so he\u2019d know if Todd was working as hard as he said.<\/p>\n

Recently, Theo has been away from the cobbles on a trip to visit his sick mum, and Todd kept up his fitness routine in his absence.<\/p>\n

However, this wasn\u2019t enough to satisfy Theo when he returned, and he was annoyed to find an empty takeaway bag in the bin.<\/p>\n

After mocking Todd\u2019s appearance once again, he ordered him on another run, ignoring his protests that he was still sore from the run he\u2019d taken that morning.<\/p>\n

Theo\u2019s cruel words have clearly made an impact on Todd, who was back to running again today.<\/p>\n

As he pushed himself harder and harder, he had Theo\u2019s voice in his head criticising him. This only spurred him on more, until he finally reached his limit and collapsed in front of the cafe.<\/p>\n

Luckily, George Shuttleworth<\/a> (Tony Maudsley<\/a>) and Christina Midgeley<\/a> (Amy Robbins<\/a>) were leaving at the same time, and were able to help Todd<\/a> up and get him settled on the sofa in the funeral parlour.<\/p>\n

There, they gave him some water and removed his shoes, where they were met with a gruesome discovery.<\/p>\n

Christina and George were horrified by the state of Todd\u2019s injured feet, and begged him to take some time off from running.<\/p>\n

Todd reluctantly agreed, but will he keep his promise? And how will Theo react?<\/p>\n
