The <a href=\"https:\/\/cartilagefreecaptain.sbnation.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> icon and club captain announced that he was leaving the club yesterday ahead of today\u2019s 1-1 friendly draw against <a href=\"https:\/\/cominghomenewcastle.sbnation.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Newcastle<\/a> in Seoul. After the match, Son remained in Korea instead of returning to London with the team. Now, this evening it\u2019s nearly official \u2014 he\u2019s heading to Los Angeles FC in MLS. Spurs and LAFC have reached full agreement for his transfer, and he will join the club imminently.<\/p>\n<p id=\"Qrlc7x\">\u201cIn excess of \u20ac15m\u201d is doing a lot of work here with regards to his transfer fee. Previous reporting suggested a fee of \u00a315m (\u20ac17.5m, $20m) which is in that realm, but we don\u2019t know what kind of add-ons or clauses are in place in this deal.<\/p>\n<p id=\"jGHnQR\">Son\u2019s absence will be keenly felt by Tottenham faithful, not just his amazing production over his 10 year Spurs career, but also his infectious personality and humility. There\u2019s no one quite like Son Heung-Min, and I don\u2019t think we\u2019ll see his like for a long, long time.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ktHaEU\">Expect an official announcement on Monday.
