<\/p>\nCoronation Street actor Jack P Shepherd and his wife Hanni Treweek have revealed they are set to become parents, sharing the joyful news on Valentine’s Day.<\/p>\n
The couple, who exchanged vows at Manchester Cathedral in July last year, posted a touching video on Instagram this morning announcing they are expecting their first child together in June 2026.<\/p>\n
“We’ve been keeping a secret…June 2026,” the pair wrote alongside the footage, thanking the “dream team who made this so special for us.”<\/p>\n
The 38-year-old soap star, best known for portraying David Platt on the ITV programme since he was 12 years old, proposed to Hanni, 35, during a safari trip in 2024.<\/p>\n
Their pregnancy announcement comes just over six months after their star-studded Manchester wedding ceremony.<\/p>\n
The professionally shot footage was captured at Grantley Hall in Ripon, North Yorkshire, where the expectant couple wandered through the grounds of the country house.<\/p>\n
Ms Treweek looked radiant in a flowing white gown as she cradled her growing bump throughout the video, while Mr P Shepherd appeared in a crisp white shirt paired with black trousers.<\/p>\n
Several tender moments showed the David Platt actor kneeling to kiss his wife’s stomach, with the pair also pictured embracing and placing their hands on her bump together.<\/p>\n

In one clip, the couple held up a pair of tiny cream knitted baby booties, signalling their excitement for their new arrival.<\/p>\n
The comments section beneath the announcement was quickly flooded with congratulatory messages from fellow soap stars and colleagues.<\/p>\n
Catherine Tyldesley, who portrayed Eva Price on the cobbles, wrote: “Congratulations beautiful people,” while Lucy Fallon, who plays Bethany Platt, simply responded: “Amazing.”<\/p>\n
Samia Longchambon, known for her role as Maria Connor, gushed: “Congratulations guys!!! So happy for you both.”<\/p>\n
Tyrone Dobbs star Alan Halsall added his well wishes, writing: “Congratulations!!! So happy for the pair you.”<\/p>\n
The celebrations extended beyond Weatherfield, with Emmerdale’s Danny Miller penning: “Congratulations guys” alongside a heart-eyed emoji.<\/p>\n
Other stars offering their congratulations included Helen Flanagan, Claire Sweeney, Jane Danson, Julia Goulding, Paddy Bever, Georgia Taylor, and Daniel Brocklebank, who recently departed the soap.<\/p>\n
The couple’s romance began when Ms Treweek was employed in the Coronation Street press office, though their relationship only blossomed after they attended a mutual friend’s wedding together.<\/p>\n

Speaking to OK! Magazine in 2020, Mr P Shepherd recalled: “We got chatting, I made Hanni laugh, we had a couple of drinks and we flirted. That was it.”<\/p>\n
A chance encounter at a Sainsbury’s supermarket later sparked an exchange of text messages that led to their first date.<\/p>\n
Ms Treweek subsequently worked as a storyliner on the ITV soap before leaving to pursue a career as a fashion influencer.<\/p>\n
