<\/p>\nA man from the Philippines received a sex change on the NHS while in the process of applying to remain in the UK.<\/p>\n
The Filipino migrant had entered Britain several years ago as a man, but underwent gender reassignment surgery to become a woman last year.<\/p>\n
Home Office immigration papers changed his titles from Mr to Miss after the surgery.<\/p>\n
The patient posted a celebratory message on social media under a new name, a feminine version of the old one.<\/p>\n
He received free consultations and care at London’s Chelsea and Westminster Hospital – where 40 per cent of patients miss their 18-week treatment target.<\/p>\n
The Filipino patient received the surgery, however, at private clinic.<\/p>\n
The surgery is believed to have cost in the tens of thousands of pounds.<\/p>\n
Reform UK’s Robert Jenrick branded the news a “slap in the face to millions of Brits on NHS waiting lists”.<\/p>\n

GB News star Dr Renee Hoenderkamp, meanwhile, said: “This shouldn\u2019t be happening on the NHS.<\/p>\n
“I have patients waiting for hip replacements, knee surgery – procedures they need to work and to get on with their lives,” she told The Sun.<\/p>\n
