Liverpool forward Lewis Koumas<\/a> could leave the club permanently this summer, with as many as eight clubs interested in signing him.<\/p>\n

The Welshman spent the 2024\/25 season on loan at Championship side Stoke, making a positive impression there.<\/p>\n

Koumas ended the campaign with 43 appearances out of a possible 46 in the league, playing 2,861 minutes and scoring six goals in total, prior to returning to Liverpool.<\/p>\n

According to the Liverpool Echo<\/a>\u2018s Ian Doyle, the 19-year-old is a target for Sevilla, having been the \u201csubject of an inquiry\u201d from La Liga side.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Championship quintet Norwich<\/a>, Sheffield United<\/a>, Hull City<\/a>, Preston and Oxford are all mentioned as suitors for Koumas.<\/p>\n

The same applies to wealthy newly-promoted pair Birmingham City and Wrexham, with a loan or permanent exit from Liverpool possible this summer.<\/p>\n

Time for Koumas to leave Liverpool permanently?<\/p>\n

This arguably feels like the right time for Koumas to depart Anfield for good, in order to kick on in his career.<\/p>\n

The six-cap Wales international could admittedly go out on loan again, given his age, but settling at a new club wouldn\u2019t be a bad thing.<\/p>\n

While Koumas\u2019 versatility allows him to shine on either flank, Liverpool\u2019s options there are so strong already, and it is hard to see him being an option under Arne Slot<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Even 16-year-old Rio Ngumoha<\/a> feels higher up the pecking order than him now, following a vibrant performance against Yokohama FC on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

A move to Sevilla would be an interesting choice for Koumas\u2019 development, going down the Tyler Morton<\/a> route of testing himself abroad, with the midfielder set to join Lyon<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It would be a big surprise if Koumas didn\u2019t leave at all, with his progress almost certain to be stunted if he stays put.<\/p>\n

He only signed a new long-term deal with Liverpool last summer, so the Reds aren\u2019t at risk of losing him on the cheap in the near future, so there is no rush to sell him.<\/p>\n
