BAFTA award-winning BBC drama Blue Lights<\/a> has found a new streaming home in the UK. The Belfast-set procedural has received acclaim from both viewers and critics and even been described as “police drama as it should be”.<\/p>\n

Series one of Blue Lights is now available to stream for free on U, with the show’s first six episodes available. <\/p>\n

The first series follows three new recruits to Belfast’s police force dealing with the pressures and dangers of the job. The cast is led by Si\u00e2n Brooke and also stars Katherine Devlin, Nathan Braniff and Richard Dormer.<\/p>\n

On IMDB, one viewer wrote: “Excellently written drama and very well acted. The story threads, characters and their relationships will soon have you on invested in this series.”<\/p>\n

Another added: “For those of you mourning the end of Line Of Duty<\/a>, and I am one of them, then switch on to this fantastic, entertaining and quality cop drama.”<\/p>\n

While a third described it as “police drama as it should be”, adding that the show will make you “laugh through to holding back the tears”.<\/p>\n

At last year’s BAFTAs, Blue Lights picked up the award for Best Drama Series, following its second series. <\/p>\n

Series three of Blue Lights aired last September with the BBC confirming a fourth series was on the way before the third had even begun airing. <\/p>\n

Series four<\/a> has already begun filming in Belfast, with the BBC releasing the series’ synopsis last month. <\/p>\n

The synopsis reads: “Three years into their jobs as response officers, Constables Grace Ellis (Si\u00e2n Brooke), Tommy Foster (Nathan Braniff), and Annie Conlon (Katherine Devlin) are operating at their limit, facing a new threat on the streets that the police can barely control.<\/p>\n

“Meanwhile the murder trial of Gerry Cliff exposes a dangerous and long-buried secret that leads to chaos both inside the police, and across the criminal underworld.<\/p>\n

“As they grapple with big decisions about their future, Grace, Tommy and Annie must find the courage to face the greatest threat they have ever encountered: the truth.”<\/p>\n
