A bunch of major casting news has been announced in the past few days and here\u2019s a breakdown of them.<\/p>\n

Colman Domingo (\u201cThe Running Man\u201d) will join Kerry Washington (\u201cWake Up Dead Man\u201d) and James Marsden (\u201cParadise\u201d) in \u201cThe Shallows\u201d and \u201cCarry-On\u201d director Jaume Collet-Serra\u2019s new psychological thriller \u201cAn Innocent Girl\u201d at Netflix. The story follws a young and ambitious woman seduced by a high-powered D.C. couple who draw her into a dangerous world of sex, power and murder.<\/p>\n

Dustin Hoffman (\u201cMegalopolis\u201d) and Adam Sandler (\u201cHappy Gilmore 2\u201d) will play father and son in Scott Cooper\u2019s \u201cTime Out,\u201d a remake of the 2001 French film about a man laid off from his job who pretends to go to work everyday to avoid telling his family. Filming begins in April in Vancouver.<\/p>\n

\u201cBaby Reindeer\u201d breakout Jessica Gunning will play singer \u2018Mama\u2019 Cass Elliot in biographical drama \u201cMy Mama Cass\u201d\u201d about the singer of the 1960s folk group the Mamas & The Papas. Emma Forrest is writing the screenplay.<\/p>\n

Shea Wigham (\u201cMission: Impossible \u2013 Dead Reckoning\u201d) and Kelly Hu (\u201cBMF\u201d) have both joined the cast of the second season of the Eric Bana-led \u201cUntamed\u201d at Netflix. The new season sees Bana\u2019s National Parks Service agent investigating a murder on Hawaii\u2019s Big Island.<\/p>\n

Liam Hemsworth (\u201cThe Witcher\u201d) will join Caleb Landry Jones (\u201cDracula\u201d), Sarah Pidgeon (\u201cLove Story\u201d), and Dianne Wiest (\u201cMayor of Kingstown\u201d) in Paul Schrader\u2019s new erotic thriller \u201cNon Compos Mentis\u201d. The story follows two silver-spoon brothers as they deal with their mother\u2019s slow descent into dementia. One is a buttoned-up New York defense attorney; the other is a ruthless corporate heir.<\/p>\n

Brie Larson (\u201cCaptain Marvel\u201d) will lead \u201cStrange Darling\u201d director JT Mollner\u2019s creature feature \u201cSkeletons\u201d which J.J. Abrams will produce. The story follows a young boy who slowly begins to discover that his beloved parents are hiding a disturbing secret about his mother\u2019s true nature.<\/p>\n

Sandra Bernhard (\u201cMarty Supreme\u201d) has joined the cast of the France-set fourth season of HBO\u2019s Emmy-winning satire \u201cThe White Lotus\u201d. The legendary comedic actress joins a cast that includes Helena Bonham Carter, Steve Coogan, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Marissa Long, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, and AJ Michalka.<\/p>\n

Oscar winner Colin Firth (\u201cDisclosure Day\u201d) has been cast opposite \u201cSlow Horses\u201d alum Jack Lowden in Apple TV\u2018s untitled drama series based on \u201cMetropolis,\u201d a book in Philip Kerr\u2019s bestselling series \u201cBerlin Noir\u201d. Peter Straughan (\u201cTinker Tailor Soldier Spy\u201d) pens and Tom Shankland (\u201cThe Serpent\u201d) directs the series set in 1928 Berlin, where a serial killer targets victims on the fringes of society.<\/p>\n

Ariela Barer (\u201cThe Last of Us\u201d) is replacing the exiting Odessa A\u2019zion in A24\u2019s \u201cDeep Cuts\u201d from writer and director Sean Durkin (\u201cIron Claw\u201d) and based on the debut novel by Holly Brickley. The love story isset in the 2000s about two music-obsessed twentysomethings (Cailee Spaeny, Drew Starkey) navigating the messy realities of ambition, belonging, and adulthood.<\/p>\n

Keira Knightley (\u201cThe Woman in Cabin 10\u201d), Alicia Vikander (\u201cTomb Raider\u201d), Jamie Dornan (\u201cFifty Shades Freed\u201d) and Erin Kellyman (\u201cSolo: A Star Wars Story\u201d) have been cast in dark comedy \u201cThe Worst,\u201d marking the feature directorial debut of Simon Woods.<\/p>\n

Catherine Zeta-Jones is set to star in the psychological thriller \u201cCupid\u201d as a marriage counsellor whose methods push a fractured relationship into increasingly dangerous territory. Tate Taylor directs the film with shooting lined up for late summer-early fall.<\/p>\n

David Iacono (\u201cJurassic World: Rebirth\u201d) will join Kiernan Shipka (\u201cIndustry\u201d), Cole Sprouse (\u201cRiverdale\u201d), and Natalia Dyer (\u201cStranger Things\u201d) in Oran Zegman\u2019s rom com \u201cGoodbye Girl\u201d at Amazon MGM Studios. Shipka plays a professional heartbreaker hired by a cowardly bride to dump her groom days before their wedding.<\/p>\n

Nick Jonas is set to star in upcoming action-thriller \u201cBodyman\u201d directed by Gary Fleder. Shooting will commence in June and the story is set during a family Christmas when an eccentric billionaire unexpectedly signs over his nepo-baby children\u2019s expected inheritance of his private military company to his longtime bodyguard (Jonas). <\/p>\n

Dane DeHaan (\u201cAmerican Primeval\u201d), Atticus Mitchell (\u201cFargo\u201d), Ayo Solanke (\u201cClown in a Cornfield\u201d), and Elizabeth Perkins (\u201cA Simple Favor\u201d) have joined the recurring cast of the FX psychological family thriller series \u201cCry Wolf\u201d. The story follows a social worker (Olivia Colman) and a mother (Brie Larson), thrust into crisis when the mother\u2019s teen daughter (Alyvia Alyn Lind) alleges abuse.<\/p>\n
