The scheme will transform the former British Airways Avionics Engineering site near Cardiff into a state-of-the-art healthcare campus, delivering a c.17,300m\u00b2 new build development across three buildings with supporting infrastructure to create a Community Diagnostics Hub and Treatment Centre.<\/p>\n

Phase 1 of the development focuses on the design and construction of a Community Diagnostics Hub of around\u00a0 7,500m\u00b2 with construction set to start later this year.<\/p>\n

MTX Managing Director David said: \u201cWe are extremely proud to be partnering with the health boards to develop this exciting new facility, which represents a major step forward for healthcare in South East Wales.<\/p>\n

\u201cCombining our healthcare expertise with Modern Methods of Construction, we are developing a design that will deliver an outstanding asset for patients and clinicians alike.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paul Mears, Chief Executive of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, said: \u201cLlantrisant Health Park represents an exciting step forward for health care services in South East Wales. By bringing together diagnostic, surgical and specialist services in one purpose-built facility, we can improve access, reduce delays and provide a better experience for patients across the region.\u201d<\/p>\n
