Brooklyn Beckham has been accused of “trying to prove a point” towards his family after he marked Valentine’s Day with a gushing post to wife, Nicola Peltz.<\/p>\n

The eldest Beckham child pledged his eternal devotion to his wife amid the continuing estrangement from his famous family.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old shared a black-and-white photograph on Instagram showing the couple kissing, with Brooklyn appearing shirtless while Nicola wore a crop top.<\/p>\n

“Happy Valentine’s Day baby x. I am the luckiest person in the world to be able to call you my Valentine every year x. I love you more than you know and I will forever protect and love you x,” he wrote. (sic)<\/p>\n

Nicola, 31, posted the same image with her own declaration of affection.<\/p>\n

“Love you more every day!! I’m so lucky I get to call you my forever Valentine. You’re the most beautiful human and I love doing life with you,” she responded.<\/p>\n

The couple documented their private celebrations on Instagram Stories, featuring an intimate dinner accompanied by luxury wine.<\/p>\n

The romantic display came just hours after his younger sister Harper seemingly reached out with a social media post of her own<\/a>, despite Brooklyn’s public desires not to be contacted by his family.<\/p>\n

Harper shared a snap of herself with Brooklyn and their two brothers, Cruz and Romeo, declaring her love for her elder siblings.<\/p>\n

Brooklyn’s decision to ignore his teenage sister’s olive branch, along with the overly romantic nature of his Valentine’s Day post, has prompted critics to hijack the budding chef’s update with complaints.<\/p>\n

“First of all, use seasoning in your cooking. Secondly, call your parents,” one Instagram user hit out, before a second typed: “Am I the only one who thinks this is weird???”<\/p>\n

“Nothing like holding your phone in the air while you get perfect positioning for a kiss. How romantic,” a third ridiculed, while a fourth similarly questioned: “Why not just tell her in person? This post seems more like it’s trying to prove a point then about love.”<\/p>\n

However, fans of the Peltz-Beckhams soon rushed to their defence. “They are young they are in love leave them alone! Young love is indestructible don\u2019t you all remember yours,” one fan argued.<\/p>\n

And a second was similarly on the couple’s side, hitting out: “These comments are getting boring now. Give it up FFS.” (sic)<\/p>\n

The entire saga followed Brooklyn’s explosive social media statement last month, in which he accused his parents of attempting to sabotage his marriage.<\/p>\n

“My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped,” he wrote in January.<\/p>\n

Brooklyn alleged that Sir David and Victoria had “repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe” him into signing away rights to his name before his 2022 wedding, claiming his refusal affected their relationship permanently.<\/p>\n

He also stated that Nicola had been “disrespected” by his family and made clear he has no intention of reconciling with his parents or siblings, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper.<\/p>\n

“I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life. I grew up with overwhelming anxiety,” Brooklyn claimed, adding that stepping away from his family had brought him peace for the first time.<\/p>\n

Family friend Gordon Ramsay recently waded into the family dispute<\/a>, offering pointed advice to Brooklyn while defending his parents as exceptional.<\/p>\n

“He’s desperate to forge his own way, and I respect that from him. It’s such a good thing to do,” Mr Ramsay said.<\/p>\n

“But remember where you came from. And honestly, one day you’re not going to have your mum and dad, and you need to understand that. That penny will drop,” the celebrity chef added to The Sun.<\/p>\n

The Hell’s Kitchen star also dismissed claims that Victoria acted inappropriately during the 2022 wedding ceremony.<\/p>\n
